Disclaimer---I am going to be really honest in this post. So if you cant stand it, do not continue!!
I truly am done being a mother...today... I really liked it yesterday. I just cant stand it today. Diapers, spit up, bottles, formula, baby sh%^$# everywhere. Honestly I am a good person and am trying to be a molly Mormon mother in Zion, but not today. Then I try to be righteous and read the Ensign while she is napping and all the thing talks about is how wonderful nurturing children is...I threw it across the room...I scared the cat.
I went to the grocery store today everything was fine until I am loading Addi into the car and I hit the panic button on the key and could not get it to shut off. All hell broke loose. I felt like every one was starring at me, Addison started crying, I almost did. Finally it shut off, I thew the grocery's into the trunk and went home!
I was thrown up on 6 times today. I cannot buy enough "Spray and Wash" And I know for sure that baby food carrot does come out of microfiber. Hallelujah
So today I am done...I don't know about tomorrow, but I've had it today. This seems like I don't love Addi, I do, don't get me wrong. But man I just have to vent to the world that my life is not perfect and neither is my blog.

no, i don't think that you don't love addison..... just that you're sick of baby poop and spit up. Alec spit up until he was 16 months.... and stained lots of clothes and carpet. hang in there. go buy yourself a diet coke and a donut from krispy kreme, watch a stupid movie, and just let heath put her to bed tonight. that is probably all you need, and tomorrow will be better. trust me. been there, done that.
Microfiber is the fabric of choice for people with kids. Everyone has these days, keep on moving forward. I like to take a "time out" for myself. Do something just for you..Whether it be sit and read something (not the Ensign--always a guilt trip), watch tv, eat something delicious or the ultimate Diet Coke break. We all need it, and dont compare yourself. (Easier said than done!) My favorite thing is to go hang out with friends when I am feeling this way, my door is always open. (or closed when I am yelling at the kids so the neighbors dont hear!--hehe)Have a better day!
hope you don't mind I found your blog! I had to comment on this... It's good to know I'm not the only one. Things get a little better, then you have another one :0) I stopped going to the grocery store alone with the kids a year ago. Two kids having meltdowns with groceries piled on top of them, every one staring, me near tears... not fun! Shawn comes with every time!! Things will get better! Welcome to Mommyhood!
Whew! I've had a few of these in the past week or so. You are SO not alone. I remember crying to my mom when Alex and the twins were all under two, and her telling me of all the times she wanted to toss us out the window. It really helps to be able to vent to eachother though. A lot. Tomorrow will be better, I promise.
All I have to say is Amen to that Christy. Now imagine a day like that x2 and that is a typical day for us.
Christy - I'm laughing my butt off right now! Good for you for not pretending, if only for a minute, that motherhood is always wonderful and fulfilling. Usually the good outways the bad, but not always. We're at about 50/50 right now. Don't worry - you'll get a good handle on things just in time to have another baby and then all hell will break loose again. Now that I have 3 though - I think I've lost control for good. Just know that you're not alone in your frustrations!
