Just Because

I haven't posted a picture of Addison in a while. I love this little one. She brings me so much joy and frustration at the same time. How does that work exactly? Anyway she is getting so big and fun, more fun each day. Her favorite things are the cat, her dad, Ni Hoa Kilan, Wonderpets, Roxy (Maryina's Dog), dancing and running laps around the living room furniture. So funny.

Eruption Cyst...

Addi has been so crabby the last couple of days and I couldn't figure it out. I have been busy doing Christmas stuff, and just thinking she is not getting enough attention. Then my mom watched her on Tuesday and suggested that she might be getting her first molars. I know this stuff!!!...I've been a Dental Assistant for 10 years! I didn't even think she could be teething and getting her first molars yet. So I did what any strange person that likes to look in peoples mouths did and jammed my fingers up there and sure enough its not only teething she has a huge eruption cyst/hematoma on her upper left. It looks SO painful. And there is nothing I can do about it... I hate this part. No antibiotics, nothing. Her little body will take care of it on its own. Yuck. I feel helpless and neglectfull. I know this stuff, but it doesn't make me feel any better.

My house is in shambles....

I love the Christmas Season. I start listening to Christmas music in October. I love it, it makes me happy, in kind of a serial killer sort of way but...happy non the less. But I am seriously thinking of bagging the tree, wreaths, ornaments, nativity etc.. that I have and cherish. A one year old and glass ball ornaments do not mix. The tree is already up and the lights strung but that is as far as I've gotten. Its either me chasing the cat from under the tree from destroying the presents or keeping Addi out of the BINS of decorations that are strewn around my house. I'm supposed to have a cheerful attitude about the whole thing. I feel guilty for not loving this. At my wits end with the decorations is not a good place to be. On top of it I am doing neighbor gifts, family gifts, pie, turkey, and a gazillion family parties to attend and the ward clerk HASSLING me about tithing settlement? Seriously he called twice yesterday to set up an appt. I ignored him the second time. He probably would have been the person to sling my wrath upon but I refrained. so proud
I want to start a fire in my back yard and throw every Christmas decoration/thing in it and laugh hysterically. Does no one feel the same way I do?

Happy Anniversary, and GO UTES!

Just so you know I have an amazing husband who traded UTAH vs BYU tickets for a night away with his lovely wife.
It is our sixth anniversary today and I love being married to this amazing man. Not that we agree on everything and get along all the time. I love him deeply and couldn't imagine being married to anyone else. Heath is my best friend, a wonderful husband and a great daddy. He puts up with alot of nonsense and nagging. ( yes, I admit I nag! ) So happy anniversary honey.

And to all you damn BYU fans, give me my Utes flag back! #$%!@(*

Chicken Pox, a wedding, and company

Whew.... I'm already tired just thinking about this week.
When Addi got her one year check up she was inoculated with the Viricella vaccine aka the chicken pox. She got a case on the vaccine related chicken pox, which by any measure is mild in comparison to what all of us went through. She is doing great a slight fever, 50 or so little pimples on her shoulders and arms, and wakes up at night. I hate it when she isn't 100%.

Annie was married this weekend, It was a fun but busy day. A wonderful sealing/ceremony and a really fun reception (as far as they go) It was great to see family that came from all over to support her and our family. My Aunt Lisa came from Mesa to stay with us for the weddin' it was great to visit and I am so glad she was there to help us at the reception. Thanks Lisa. It was very exciting to have something to work on with my mom and sister but I am glad it is over with.

Sooo Big....

Addi went to her One year doctor exam today. Everyone has been asking how tall she is and how much she weighs, well.... she is as big as a 2 year old. Height 31.5 inches 99th percentile, weight 24.5 lbs 93rd percentile. I cant remember how many cm her head was but it is in the 7th percentile. Big girl, small head. No wonder my back hurts!

Cake

Addi enjoyed her Birthday cake for about 30 seconds and then was more interested in rubbing it in her hair and throwing it off the tray. Kinda anti-climatic for mom. oh well that's life. Notice the change of clothes. Yeah....right before the cake, she did a show for everyone and puked up a piece of roll . Nice.

All Eyes on Me....Happy First Birthday Addi!

Everyone is here to see Me?! And give me gifts and say how cute I am. I love birthdays!

Grandma Mary came to the party too. She is always so fun.

Addison had her 1st Birthday on October 30. We had a party the following Sunday with all the grandparents and such. She had a really good time being the center of attention and playing with her new toys.
I still cannot believe she is one. Time flies. She is at a really fun stage right now and is learning to walk.It is seriously the cutest thing I've ever seen. I love my little Addi

Halloweeny

This year Addison was a Utes Cheerleader, just like her cousin Ava. But Addi's costume was pink not red. A very cute cheerleader might I add. She liked the kids coming to the door for Trick or Treat ,and playing with her friend Brielle at a party we went to. A nice low key holiday. I love Halloween.

Quirk Tag

Lee Ann tagged me to write down 6 quirky things I do, I guess I will have to narrow it down from the many, they are mostly involved with cleaning

1- mopping, I like to mop, its weird i know, hands and knees mopping, I really like a clean kitchen, bathroom etc floor. I get embarrassed when someone comes over unannounced and my floor isn't perfectly clean. like anyone cares.?

2-funny twitchy thing with my lips- watch me close for about 5 mins and I'll do it. I've always done it. My aunt Lori does it too.

3-being early- I like to be early, I think this came from my dad who says "I'd rather be 15 mins early than 2 mins late"

4-zits--gross I know but I really love a good black head to squeeze, especially if it is heaths. poor man.

5 -washing hands- not ocd but I hate my hands dirty or when I think they are dirty. After grocery shopping, Wally's or anywhere I know virus' or bacteria are. IE doorknobs, light switches, handles, money. hands are disgusting anyway but when you actually wrote a paper in Biology about what is really on them, you wash your hands alot.

6-make-up I have a hard fast rule about makeup. I put make up on every day, it makes me feel put together and like I don't live in a cave. I get dressed for the day too. I can't stand being in pj's all day, I feel lazy.

well i'll stop writing so I still can have a few friends left. thanks alot lee lee.

Photo Tag

This is my friend Michelle's idea, you go to your 4th folder and the 4th picture and you blog about it. Well here it is, if you don't already know it is the Nauvoo Temple at night. My family went there in '06. June I think and I didn't take many pictures, except the Temple. It was a great trip and was really cool to see the temple after the last time I saw it when it was nothing but a field with stones and markers. We went thru and did a session and it is gorgeous on the inside. Long trip but a good trip.

Wild...

She's everywhere and has a scream on her. Boots has no peace and has a complex now. She refuses to eat anything with texture/substance. Is lightning fast on those chubby little knees. She weighs damn near 24 lbs and will not walk. I know walking means "my life is over" but my back could use a break.
I've never been so tired in my life

happy engagment...

This is my little sister Annie and her fiance Tom

They are getting married in the Manti Temple in November, I did these engagement pics for them yesterday. Isn't she gorgeous! I cant believe my little sister who I used to fight over clothes and the bathroom with is getting married, graduating from college with her Masters and has her own apartment. In my mind she is still 8. Well she still acts like it sometimes, but I am so proud and happy for her. I heart you Annie.

The Flu sucks....grossness...beware

For those of you in my ward, you've probably wondered "why have the Dalton's stopped attending church?" There are lots of reasons really i don't like going to church but we won't get into that now.
For that last month Addison has been fighting something, a cold, strep-throat,a fever etc. And I don't want to pass it along. Some people feel it is OK to bring sick kids to church ,but I am not one of them. Keep them home. Anyway, again this weekend our family was blessed with another form of debilitating disease. The FLU. Only this time it got the mom.
I woke up Sunday morning 2:30 am writhing in pain, vomiting, diarrhea, the works! I thought I was going to die, I welcomed death. if anyone has the reason why flu symptoms only strike in the wee hours of the morning I am all ears. Luckily I had some Phenergan from another flu I had. I couldn't even keep that down.
My saving grace was my mother in law watched Addi the whole day at her house. I slept all day...well between the bathroom trips. I felt like I would never feel well again. My mom came with relief aid in the form of Ensure, and Gatorade. Thanks Susan and Marge
But I do fell better today though I did over do it by going to Maceys ( I do this every time I get sick), and Addi or Heath haven't caught the bug yet. (prayers people...i need prayers!)
So no I am not inactive just prone to viruses at this point, I think it will be a long winter.

Fall...a tribute

Just some thoughts today about my most favorite time of year. Fall. This last cold snap has cheered me up alot. I just love fall...everything about it. I love home grown tomatoes from my mom's garden, rolling down the window in my car and stick my hand out and it is cold air that I feel. I love that I can wear really cozy pajama's at night and put my down comforter and burrow under it like a hibernating bear. I love old sweaters that i forgot i had, i like buying new sweaters. I love gourds and pumpkins. changing leaves. the need for a jacket and making comfort food like soup and stew. pumpkin bars, bread, pie anything with cinnamon and whip cream really. knowing that thanksgiving is around the corner. The way it makes me want to play tennis (in school sept-oct is tennis season) Leaves changing and driving up the canyon and Heath and I saying to each other "oh Margret look at the leaves" inside joke-you'd have to be there. I just love, love love it! I like the way it smells like the river at my house in the fall. And I miss this all so much during the summer I am so glad it is fall. hope you get as much joy out of it as I do.

oh yeah its our blog too.

So alot of this blog is dedicated to showing off how cute Addison is, I thought I would do a post about what the other two people in our family are up to.
Heath...is busy working at the Sherwin Williams, fighting to keep the yard green ,keeping the bugs from invading our home, and most recently bought a motorcycle to "save on gas" right. He is very excited about his softball league he plays in, and enjoys a round of golf almost once a week. Heath is very involved with being a daddy and is such a great help around the house, laundry would not get folded if it weren't for him.

Christy... is busy being a mom most of the time, keeping Addison alive. Also really busy lately with photo shoots, has started playing in a tennis league again. blogging. collecting junk for a yard sale we are having, working at the dentist still. planning her sisters wedding and the list goes on...
So yes we are still alive and nothing really all that interesting. sorry.

Cuttest little bottom ever...funny

The lighting was just perfect for nude portraits today.
I love Addi's little rear-end. It makes me laugh so hard when after the bath she gets away from me and I see this little giggly bottom scooting/crawling away from me. I am smiling while I write this. I come home from work and this is what I find at the top of the stairs, it was too perfect. Heath getting the water ready and Addi anxiously waiting for tubby time. She was holding onto the side bouncing with anticipation. Too Funny.

9 months

Addison just turned nine months on the 30th. She has now been out longer than she was in. Addi is the joy in our lives and we cant remember what life was like with out her. She is really funny and very social. She waves at anyone that will respond and loves to clap. Addi loves the cat, poor Boots is a good sport but likes to be outside a lot these days. She has mastered the army crawl and is pretty fast at getting around. She isn't a big eater but will eat anything with sweet potatoes in it. I love these pictures of her and her funny sense of humor shows in them. I could squish my little Stinkerbell.

Who and What is Amos?

For those of you at our house recently you have probably wondered? "why is there a little black baby doll in the family room?" Well this is Amos. Heath's prized childhood possession. His Granny made it for him when his mother failed to produce a black brother or sister ( all that Heath wanted was a little black brother or sister but didn't understand genetics) Addison is obsessed with him. She loves to chew on metal buttons on his lovely orange ensemble and to pull out his corn rows. Heath says and I quote " if the house starts on fire Amos is the one thing I would grab!" makes me feel special inside. Amos is so ugly he is cute and Addi loves him so...what can I do?

Memories

I got this idea from my Sister-in-law Lindsey, and I have seen it a few places also. If you know me a little or alot, please leave a comment about a memory we share together or that you have of me. I hope I get at least one response, or I will feel really lame. Also I would like others I know to copy this and post it on their blogs also, so I can write something about you. Or I will just email you.

the universe is against me

the universe is against me Have you ever had a day/week/month when the entire universe and all the gravitational pull is working against you. Seriously. I have had the worst day/week/month!
First of all it is hot as Haites. I hate summer. if i could run my ac at 62 I would. I literally hate being hot, sweaty, dirty, smelly, and sticky. all the feelings I have when the mercury rises above 75.
I cant get Addison to eat any solids lately, her schedule is all off because she is going to bed later and waking up later-which is good. Just a new thing to figure out when and where we can do things. And she pukes a lot. We were in 7/11 getting Slurpee's and she barfed all over me, her the store, etc. and if I was sticky, and smelly before. Just wait.
And after all that I come home to the cat that just puked in the front entry. At least I didn't step in it.
There are many other stories of how the universe is working against me, but I think I complain too much. Call me if you want more.
I think I am going to take George Costanza's angle and do everything the opposite of what I would normally do.. It worked for him. Worth a shot.
One good thing.. I got a serger to sew with, I've always wanted one. I got it off KSL .com for a steal. (love KSL.com) try it, it might surprise you.
Till the earth starts rotating clockwise, i will be hibernating in my house till fall... adieu

who knew $30 could be so fun

So I've always wanted a pool, I mean a real pool! Cement, chlorine, lounge chairs, inflatable things to put in it, etc. But I don't have the $60,000 it costs to put one in. So I went the inflatable route $30 at Wally's. Who knew it could be this fun. I woke up this morning excited to use the pool. It is pretty big for an inflatable one Me, Heath, Dina, Addi and Cohen all were in it at one time and still had room. We had a ball watching the little ones and bigger ones play.
Way better than church! :)
Addi loved it she just isn't smiling here.

This is Cohen, my friends little boy. I wish I got this excited about anything! Isn't he hilarious!
Pure Joy!

Family Pictures... or... I could seriously harm my child for being this cute.

Ahhh,,,how precious
Yummy Polka Dots

Fish Lake

Fish Lake, UT. Our first long road trip with Addison. 3 hours to and from in one day=6hours in the car. . We are crazy. I was really apprehensive about the long car trip, but we did OK. Only 10 min of crying. When we got there she threw up all over the cabin and had a luxurious bath-her favorite part. We did it, and that is what matters.
Heath owes me big time, because he really wanted to go and see his uncle (who we never saw because he was fishing on the lake the whole time we were there) . Now we know she can go to Park City to go shopping just fine!:)
